A review on most important poisonous plants and their medicinal properties

Plants produce poisons to protect themselves, sometimes at levels toxic enough kill human or livestock. Through trial and error, our forebears established which plants were edible caused harm. They then avoided the harmful species in some cases also knowingly used them as weapons rivals, criminals animals, drugs evoke hallucinations subject victims by ordeal. While knowledge of poisonous may have been lost among majority us who now buy food shops, scientific understanding plant toxins their effects has increased greatly. Poisonous cause serious problems even death are considered ‘Plant Biological Weapons’. In this review article, 12 angiosperm belonging eight different families discussed. The general characteristics species, its distribution, etymology, nature, symptoms medicinal uses/properties systematically deliberated.
